Legendary restaurant

An antique and legendary restaurant located under the Aqueduct of Segovia. A classic style, decorated with wooden walls and floors, upon entering you are encompassed by the heat of the ovens and the smell of suckling pig coming from the kitchen.

Of the most typical, a good suckling pig, red wine and something to nibble at, such as peppers or a warm sopa castellana (typically consisting of either water or broth, leftover bread, paprika, bay laurel, garlic and olive oil). Good, pretty and not so expensive

Mesón De Cándido is a place I recommend for its famous suckling pig, although their sirloin steak has little to envy.

The desserts were also very tasty and the service and attention from the waiters and especially Mr Candido was excellent.

Obligatory in Segovia

Good

The truth is that the service is excellent and the food is very good, but for the price paid I expected more quantity, for 22 € that the suckling pig costs they don’t bring you a lot and without garnish or anything.

The desserts are good but too expensive, you pay for the name and where they are located being that you are just ten metres away from the aqueduct.
