Castle of Alegrete

If you visit or compass Portalegre different towns of Alentejo, you must not forget to visit Alegrete. At first glance and when it is on the map it is not very interesting, but when you get to this small town and look out from atop the Tower of the Castle things change. I recommend that you leave the car in the square, and take a small walk through the streets up to the castle. Once there, go up to the lookout and enjoy the magnificent views and you will be able to see the Natural Park.
