Chandelier Tree

Free, artsy gem in Los Angeles

This year-round lit 100-year-old sycamore tree in the Silver Lake area is a hidden gem in the City of Angels. It’s in a residential area right in front of a house so it’s nothing grand on the way there. But in the evening, oh my! It’s beautiful! The tree has more than 30 light fixtures on it. Because it’s in a residential area, only street parking is available, but it’s free, and it’s not as hyped as other tourist destinations so it’s not hectic to find a spot to park in. The creator of this art installation is Adam Tenenbaum, who put it up in the late 2000's. Apparently, the Chandelier Tree is a common site for photo shoots and marriage proposals.
