A real treat
Admittedly, a walk in the city of Nice, without trying the typical socca is a mistake. To do so, it is best to go to Rene Socca in a narrow street in the old town near Plaza San Francisco. The renowned owner serves one of the best, if not the best, socca in town. What is socca? Its a fairly thick corn biscuit eaten plain or with accompaniment, a bit like a pancake. In Chez Rene also can find all kinds of local delicacies including fried courgette florette. A treat for the summer!
