Civic Archaeologic Museum

The Civic Archaeological Museum's collection is growing a core base that has been formed by the collections of the University of Bologna (Aldrovandi collections, subsequently reinforced by the exceptional collection of the Bolognese painter palace Pelagi acquired by the city in 1861 and others that have come together. A little while after the season started success of the excavations of the city, opened in 1869 with the discovery of the Etruscan tombs of the monastery, which was followed by years of discovery of the city and the surrounding territory.
