Civil Government building

In the lower area of ​​the Citadel, opposite the park that surrounds it and the Foundation Afonso Henriques, is the Civil Government. It was built in 1937, for construction part of the choir of the church of San Benito (next door) had to be demolished. It is 2-storey, symmetrical with a linear facade, the highlights are the windows of the ground floor and on the upper two separate balconies. The central part of the facade is topped by a triangular pediment which has the city shield.
