Costa Larimar Hotel

The Hotel Costa Larimar, in Barahona, Dominican Republic, was beautifully renovated about 5 years ago. The vibrant aqua blue colours, terra cotta roofs and white facades makes you feel like you're in between the blue waters and the white foam of a few white clouds in the stunning Caribbean sky. The use of colours not only alludes to the sky, but the blue semi-precious stone Larimar whose mines are only found in the province of Santa Cruz de Barahona. The atmosphere is relaxed, after reception. The pool side bar and restaurant invite you to stay all day. The beach near the bar is not the best, but it's enjoyable.
