Council of American Jewish Museums

The Council of American Jewish Museums was founded in 1977 under the auspices of the National Foundation for Jewish Culture. Its purpose is to promote the development of museums in Jewish North America by collecting Jewish art and artifacts for preservation, study, display and interpretation. It includes more than 70 institutions in the United States and Canada.
