Del Jiote Beaches

The Pacific beaches in Guatemala have nothing to do with the Caribbean. It does not have white sand but rather it has black volcanic sand, and the Pacific does not carry its name well. The water is very rough, with a phenomenon of shoals, currents that take you under and you can drown if you can not swim well. For children, the water is rough, and it is better to swim in the pool water. But what a pain it is to this far to look at the sea, bathing in a pool! I once went swimming a little further and some people from Barra del Jiote came out thinking that I was drowning! They do not swim, they are not of the sea, but rather they are families of the mountain who came down to the coast because there was more work.
