A charming place
Bordering Loch Ness, the charming village of Drumadrochit is the main starting point for hikers and cyclists who want to search for the monster! The town itself is known for its two (somewhat superficial) museums, which are based around goshawks and the legendary monster of Nessy. Buses regularly connect it to Inverness and Urquart Castle. I highly recommend taking the bus to Drumadrochit then continuing on foot to the castle by taking one of the many trails along the lake.
