A beautiful monument
It's useless to try to squint and look - you're not going to see Algeria from here. But this huge gate symbolises the way to North Africa; this is the point where ferries from Algeria dock. It's also a historic tribute to the armies of the Second World War, as the French worked to protect the city from the Germans. This is a beautiful monument, particularly at sunset. Highly recommended.
