Faro Mount

To access this large gazebo and recreation area on Mount do Faro immediately outside the Portuguese town of Valença Monçao take the road on the right (signposted) and go up about 6 km. Look for Sant Ana with spectacular views of the river Miño. Recently, this winter, during the ascent I noticed that the acacia tree began to flourish, many of these trees (mimosas) that adorned the road. Took a few photographs. Upon reaching the top a spacious recreation room with fountains, picnic areas, large trees, a chapel, a restaurant and especially the view over the river Miño, scanning the horizon from Mount Aloia in Tui to Mount Resume (Tegra) in A Guarda.
