This imposing monastery is closed except during mass hours, which is held at 8 in the morning every day. According to legend, it was founded by St. Francis himself, who would have stopped on the Olite road on his way to Santiago de Compostela. Although the Franciscan Order was established in the early 13th Century, what we now see is a reconstruction from the 18th Century. Inside you can see the main altar, which has managed to maintain the image of the Virgin of Cholera, the patron of the city.
