An impressive size
In the gardens surrounding the Depaz Distillery , we noticed the giant Ficus Elastica. It was planted in 1960 and has grown to an impressive size. Its trunk has measures 20 meters across and thousands of aerial roots hanging from the canopy (it's awesome get under!). I had never seen such a big ficus! And, since there was only a small sign point it out, it can't be that unusual on the island.
