Greek Parliament

The Greek Parliament is housed in the Parliament building at the top of Syntagma Square in Athens. The Greek Parliament has 300 members, who are elected every four years. The building was constructed in 1843 as the royal palace but only in 1929 it became the House of Parliament. The main room is an amphitheater with marble walls and gold ornaments. The senate is housed on the second floor in an almost identical albeit smaller room. As several decades there has been no Senate, the room is used as a meeting place of different parts, but has no legislative function. The building has two main entrances
