Gubbio

Like many of the stunning medieval villages that you can visit in Umbria and Tuscany, Gubbio lived periods of great splendor centuries ago. It has since fallen into a slumber as it remains to this day. The ancient city is located on the hillside, which makes for breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Gubbio is a pretty touristy town, but not as much as his neighbor Assisi, so it's still easy to wander through its cobbled streets and feel like you´ve stepped back in time.
