Historic Village of Soajo

Soajo is a village belonging to the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, in the Peneda-Gerês, where horses gallop and play and the only life you see for miles are the cows! The main attraction of this remote place is the espigueiros granaries, which are similar to the Spanish ones, but made of granite, like the rest of the buildings in the village. The streets here are so tiny that many times I thought the car we were in would get stuck. Being in the mountains the spring water is clean and pure, and although at first it was a little strange, I finally decided to try the spring water from the fountain; it was delicious and refreshing.
