Historical Museum of Mining in Perticara

The Museo storico di perticara minerario presents a structured sequence of all the stages of sulphur mining. The museum's main objective is to highlight the various examples of material culture still present in the area allowing for the discovery of a European common history, which has disappeared from the collective memory. The museum also has two major thematic sections: a large collection of rocks and minerals, and a valuable collection of old scientific instruments for monitoring and environmental issues, like compasses, graphometers, inclinometers, plane tables, theodolites, anemometers, tachometers.
