The Towers of San Marino

Without a doubt one the most impressive things to see in the state of San Marino are the two towers which are located on top of Mount Titian. They are very close to each other and are also connected by a path, so that you can visit on a leisurely morning. The first tower, Rocca Guaita is the oldest and has been rebuilt several times. It is 751 meters high and was used for years as a prison. You can visit inside, but in my opinion, the most impressive thing about it is the exterior. The second tower is the highest. It is situated right on top of Mount Titian, at a height of 755 meters. I really liked the Shopping Rocca (the second tower) because it is surrounded by a forest, which makes it look idyllic.
