    built in the late 19th century on the quiet green space

    The Hotel La Vela is a little castle which was built in the late 19th century on the quiet green space slightly on the hill about ten minutes walk from the center of Santa Margherita Ligure and only 4 km. away from Portofino. It offers a wonderful view, and extends throughout the Gulf of Tigullio from Sestri Levante to Portofino and through the Cinque Terre to la Spezia. From the 1st July, all the rooms are air conditioned. The hotel has a wireless internet connection.
