International Salon of Agriculture

The SIAM is the International Exhibition of Agriculture in Meknes. It's an annual event in the former imperial city. It's the city's most important international event, attracting over 4 million visitors, and the king inaugurates and closes it. The huge white tents and assembly used to be removed each year, but now they are left permanently to host other exhibitions. The show takes place next to the Aguedal pond, on royal palace land, in front of the King's granaries. It's a bit far from the city. Wherever you end up staying, you'll have to take a small taxi, which is 2 euros anywhere in the city,
