A very important channel
This channel is the most important in the south of England, allowing travel from east to west along waterways. Almost its entire length is lined with hiking and biking trails. I have walked the paths around Bradford-on-Avon, and it was great. In major cities, you can contact the Canal Trust to hire the narrow-boats. Along the canal there aren't many benches, and public toilets are quite far apart, so be careful!
