The story of the poet

Excellent

The poet Pablo Neruda, famous for winning the Nobel Prize for Literature, was a man shrouded in mystery. He built his third home in Chile, naming it La Chascona, a word which only exists in Chilean Spanish and means something like "the bristly hair". The name of the house is a tribute to Matilde, a married woman he was having an affair with. The home was built as a place where they could keep their passion hidden from prying eyes. To enter the house, which has now been converted into a museum, you pay about 10 dollars, and have a guided tour. It's one of the best attractions of the Chilean capital.
