Scrumptious paella on La Malvarrosa

When I told my friend Amy I was going to Valencia, she very kindly sent me a mail with recommendations. One of them was going to eat at the beach, La Malvarrosa. That's exactly what we told the taxi driver upon exiting the Oceanográfico.

We walked around for a while on the promenade until we decided on La Paz. I can now say it was the correct decision. As I later learned it is not the most well known in the area, I hope that from now on it gains positions.

We started by ordering some cold beers. I should clarify that we ate inside, in a sort of covered terrace. It wasn’t a day for the open air terrace due to the elements. The entrees were a pleasant surprise, the baby squid was really good but mostly I have to highlight the calamari, a true delight.

A great paella on Malvarrosa

It is a restaurant of a lifetime located on the Malvarrosa seafront close to the harbour area. You can eat both in summer and in winter, in the lounge or (preferably) on the terrace, where you can let yourself be distracted by the bustle of passers-by. I have been many times and you can choose from quality tapas, meats, fish and a huge variety of paellas (authentic). As for the quality and the price it’s much better than other restaurants on the seafront with bigger names, but is more focused on foreigners.
