A place worth visiting
One of the most beautiful sites of the Basque Country (Euskadi) is undoubtedly the biosphere reserve of Urdaibai, declared by UNESCO in 1984, in the region of Busturialdea Bizkaia. With rich ecology and landscape it's an area that was formed by the mouth of the Oka River, which forms an estuary because of its length, and is considered the most important wetland in Euskadi. The landscape has great importance because it is a resting/wintering site for many migratory birds. Laida beach is in this utopian setting, when the tide leaves it forms a perfect dune to spend the day with family. The water is very quiet and there are numerous swings and games for children.
