María Tomasa Restaurant

I loved this restaurant which is located near the steps from the Cultural Center Gabriel García Márquez. The site has a simple but very nice decor, different from the other restaurants in the area. The specialty of the Maria Tomasa is Caribbean or coastal food, or seafood. I tried coconut rice and shrimp which was delicious and my companion sampled the snapper in marinara sauce with white rice and fried plantains that was a spectacular golden brown. Maria Tomasa prices are extremely reasonable and their desserts are fantastic. You absoloutely must try the chocolate cake with passion fruit sauce
