Monte Acuto

Monte Acuto is one of the easier summits in the Parma apeninnes at 1756m. Cars can be parked by the dam at Passo del Lagastrello. There are two paths and both arrive at Monte Acuto which provides the option of a circular route. The path via Rifugio Sarzana is the shortest and easiest you can reach the top in two hours. If you want to eat or sleep at the Rifugio it is wise to phone in advance as opening times are somewhat random. The Rifugio is next to a lake and makes a great place for a picnic.
