A beautiful view
Monte Serrat is one of the highest points of the city of Santos, on the Sao Paulo coast. The 360 degree view you can enjoy from up here is beautiful and worth the trip. You can take a cable car up the hill, or use the stairs (there are 415 of them!). The cable car ride is incredible, with wonderful views across the city and beyond. You can visit the modest sanctuary of Our Lady of Monte Serrat, which is very nice. In the nineteenth century, there was a casino on the mountain, and today the building can be visited, and is used sometimes for events.
