Museum im Stadthaus

The museum occupies the center of the monumental plaza and takes us into the fascinating history of the city of joy (Freudenstadt). Like most museums in the Black Forest, the tour is free, but unfortunately they only have information in German. There are several floors, including a loft, telling the simple stories of the inhabitants of this particular German area. For me, the highlight is the permanent exhibition on the second world war and the disaster that led to this city being bombed. In Germany it is known as the city of "miracles". From the top you get the most spectacular images of the Marktplatz.
