Museum of Popular Art

This small museum is located in the tower of the fortress of Calnic. It has two main areas, thanks to a very dedicated curator, and is beautifully presented. The entrance to the whole church, fort and museum costs 5 RON per adult. First, climb the tower and the first thing you'll see are lots of costumes. Unfortunately they do not make them any more because people prefer to dress fashionably in western clothing. But it's a shame really, as you can't take one as a souvenir. The jackets are made of leather and wool, and are really warm and thick. At the same time they're finely decorated with flower motifs, and occasionally the date of manufacture.
