Museum of the Sea

This museum has reconstructions of vessels, traditional fishing gear, old photos of Vila do Conde and seafaring/fishing traditions. Highlights include photos and fishing instruments dedicated to cod and fishing community photos, of which I leave some here as they are beautiful. Moreover, it's inside a library on the life of the sea. In short, a great place to read up on the traditional lifestyle of Vila do Conde. The museum was inaugurated on December 8, 1991 and admission is free.
