Excellent

To the northwest of Eidsvollplass is the National Theatre, a beautiful neoclassical building dating back to 1899. The interior is partly in the art nouveau style, with fine paintings on the ceiling of the auditorium. In front of the building you can see bronze statues of Ibsen and Bjornson, and at the back is a statue of Brun. Another statue, of the playwright Ludvig Holberg, can be seen in the gardens nearby.
