Jahangir Palace in Red Fort

Palace Jahangir Mahal is perhaps the best cared for building of the Red Fort of Agra, surrounded by grass, which gives an added beauty to the contrast of the red stone and green, and in its day was used as a zenana or place where the chambers of wives belonging to the royal family were. The palace was built by order of Emperor Akbar for his beloved son, whom he later appointed to succeed him.
