Talassemtane National Park

This park is close to Chefchaouen, where visitors can enjoy the trails and tours of the Rif mountains, which are just a few meters away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The impressive height of the Jebel el Kelaa mountain stands at 1616 meters, and at its feet lies Chefchaouen. There are deep valleys during the trekking where you can see forests of cedar, oak, pine and olive trees. The vegetation is similar to what you would find in the south of the Iberian Peninsula. In some of these forests in the summer one can find macaques similar to those seen in Gibraltar. Similarly raptors can be seen flying in the area.
