Parrocchiale Museum

The Parrocchiale Museum is situated in the city of Aosta. Valuable works of art exhibits recovered at various churches and oratories of the people are exhibited here. Of utmost importance are the parish archives. Among the surviving works include the wooden statue of Sant Antonio Abate (Saint Anthony) from a rural chapel and the so-called "Christ compianto morto" (Pain for the Dead Christ), which is a group of eight wooden statues in poplar painted and decorated with gilt, from 1612.
