Patones de Arriba

They say that this is one of the prettiest villages in the Community of Madrid. I'm from Madrid and I'd gone 30 years without a visit. You know we usually put the close things aside, something we can't believe. But I was able to visit it. And, man, I don't know if it's the most beautiful village of the Community or not but, hey, it's awesome. It's beautiful. I understand why it's crowded with people from Madrid on the weekends, looking for some peace and quiet. A truly wonderful place. It's one of the few places where it seems like time has stopped forever and it seems like everything outside of that bubble isn't important.

You must book a place to eat otherwise you will not have a place to park your car and at the entry you might have to pay 5,00 to park your car and "make a last minute reservation" which may not be really confirmed by the staff at the restaurants.

A great place to visit very near Madrid. Small picturesque town where you can enjoy its narrow cobbled streets, stony buildings, history, and the beautiful nature that surrounds it. Plenty of restaurants too!
