Founded in 1894, the Civic Museum Capponi Pio, is situated in Latina, in the province of Lazio. The collection on display at the museum is mainly based on archaeological remains ranging from the earliest evidence of humans to the Upper Palaeolithic and Roman times. The most important collection at the museum is the historical development of the Roman age. Among the most interesting archaeological finds include: Base Honor with a dedication to Trajan, a draped female bust, a statue of a male deity with significant traces of the original polychrome, a heroic nude statue identified with Zeus, etc...
