Alappuzha Beach

This beach is a busy place as it is just outside the town within walking distance. But here the beach is not typical - its a place for walking rather than swimming. Yyoung people go in the water but with clothing, no swimwear. There are no guards either to help prevent people from going too deep. It is popular with families. The pier here is over 135 years old. Next door is a park where there are attractions for kids, and you can picnic. On the beach you can ride camels.
