The R. Campelli Museum is located in Macerata, and the church is located within the castle walls and houses an 8th century crypt. It is believed to be based on an existent pre-Roman temple. The Museum and was built in the Church and includes interesting archaeological artifacts and some artwork, the vast majority of which are paintings.
