From a hospital to an art area
It was formerly a convent and hospital, part of the Order of St. John of God in the seventeenth century. Later, due to the ecclesiastical confiscations, it became a warehouse. Currently, the hospital and adjoining church (from the 17th century) are home to the City of Almagro's collection of contemporary art.
