San Juan Parish Church

3 reviews of San Juan Parish Church

San Juan Parish Church

It is dedicated to San Juan Bautista. The current temple began the be built in 1734, being inaugurated in 1751. The old temple was abandoned for worship and began to be demolished in 1817. Only the chapel of the Virgen del Rosario was enforced. It is neoclassical, with vestiges of the Baroque, the plant is a Latin cross, with a nave, a large domed Byzantine style on the cruise and coated metallic reflection on the outside, the main altarpiece is 1951, barroquizante style. The Church with the Christmas lights in the square is the nicest.
