Sangri

It's located in the middle of the island of Naxos, in one of the most fertile areas. It's known for its Venetian towers, its Byzantine churches (Agios Nikolaos from the 13th century with well-preserved frescoes), its mills in ruins, and especially for the Demeter Temple , which is located about 4 kilometres from town in a clearing surrounded by fields.
