Gate of Heaven

The Biosphere Reserve Sian Ka'an (Mayan meaning: Gate of Heaven, A place where the sky is born) is a protected natural area located on the coastal Caribbean state of Quintana Roo (Mexico), between Tulum and Punta Allen. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. On the coast of this Biosphere Reserve there are spacious white sandy beaches, small bays and mangroves, among other ecological systems. Different animals live in each of these areas. The climate, being sub-humid, has a summer rainy season.

It’s ok I guess.

Good

It has a big lake with beautiful colours and an overpriced boat trip. The thing I liked the most was the watchtower in the middle of the jungle.

It was fun to climb but there was not really much to do and you might better invest your time in many other local attractions.
