St. Augustine Municipal Market

Near the Church of Victoria and the school of the Augustinians, we found the Mercado de Abastos de Motril, a building constructed in 1955 with simple and functional architecture. Inside there are 2 floors with a central staircase that serves as a hub for the 2 areas with their separate, specific uses (fishmonger, fruteria, etc.) The market is in Plaza de San Agustín and is Municipally owned, it was inaugurated was use as a food market on November 29, 1955.
