Thapae Boxing Stadium
Attending an evening of Thai Boxing is special for a farang (foreigner in the Thai language). There are people who are excited by the thrill of combat and others who cover their eyes at times, especially in the Thai Boxing (called Muay Thai) of children. The Thapae Stadium is one of the two most important stages in Chiang Mai Thai Boxing. Entrance normally costs 400 Bhats. Wednesdays are for novice fighters and the best evenings are Friday and Saturday.
