Strategically located between the heart of the National Mall and the White House, the Ellipse is the garden / park that you'll know at once, famous from international TV. This is where most television channels film their news about Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, with the White House in the background. The Ellipse is also where you'll find Washington's huge Christmas tree every December.
