The Jambelí Island and Its Mangroves

Jambelí can only be accesses by one of the boats that leave daily from Machala. Jambelí is an island surrounded by mangroves meaning that tourism is the main source of income. Throughout the island there are houses that rent rooms and there are restaurants and bars on the beach. Tourism is quiet, no massification and is environmentaly friendly. It's easy to find someone who wants to take a ride in a boat through the mangroves and teach you to fish for a whole afternoon. SOme much fun and very relaxing!
