Although Jane Austen hated the city of Bath where she lived, today its people are proud to claim her as an important part of their cultural heritage. In the museum, period costumes and sets can be seen, as you are plunged into the atmosphere of her novels, particularly Persuasion and Northanger Abbey, both set in Bath.
