The Nihuiles

The Nihuiles is an important hydroelectric power complex that was built using waters from the Atuel River that come down from the high mountains in the Department of San Rafael, Province Of Mendoza, Argentina. The Atuel circumvents the famous Atuel Canyon. Nihuiles is a complex of three large power plants generating 60,000 KW / hour. Much of the energy produced in Nihuiles is used in Mendoza, but in turn this complex is interconnected with the National Electricity Network.
