Like being in a period film
Everything about the 19th-century Los Jardines de Pereda reminds me of a period film. As you walk through them, you can almost see Mary Poppins with her little boy in shorts and little girl in an old-fashioned skirt. I was entranced by the carousel, with its elephant, imperial carriages, horses, and a donkey quietly leading a cart. I wish I was small enough to go for a ride! There are swans too, perfect for a photo opportunity.
